Emotional Freedom Techniques, A Universal Healing Aid
The Foundation of EFT
EFT was introduced in 1995 by Gary Craig, a Stanford Engineering graduate with a lifelong pursuit of personal well-being.
Gary Graig states:
I have been intensely interested in personal improvement via psychology since age 13. That was when I recognized that the quality of my thoughts was mirrored in the quality of my life. Since then I have been self taught in this field, seeking only those procedures that, in my opinion, produced results. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is my latest finding, the core of which I learned from Dr. Roger Callahan. I also have high regard for Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) in which I am a Certified Master Practitioner.”
I've been doing this healing work since 1991 and my jaw still drops at the results. I've lost count of the number of phobias, panic and anxiety attacks, traumatic memories, guilt, grief and physical ailments that have been elegantly relieved (often in minutes) by this procedure. Even though EFT violates just about every conventional belief out there, the results remain remarkable. EFT isn't perfect, of course. We don't get 100% results, but it usually works well and the results are sometimes spectacular. It often works where nothing else will.”
Gary Craig, Founder of EFT
Gary Craig is neither a psychologist nor a licensed therapist. There is no spiritual teaching connected to EFT or its Practitioners. The results appear to be permanent. The Sky Is The Limit Extensive application of EFT has shown impressive improvements in a wide variety of issues, including those listed below.

Addressing the Cause EFT continues to provide encouraging results, even with newcomers applying EFT to themselves. Based on the ancient principles of acupuncture, EFT is a simple tapping procedure that gently realigns the body’s energy system, without the discomfort of needles. EFT also treats emotional issues that could be an important element to the healing process, addressing unresolved emotional issues as a likely cause of physical disease, psychological dysfunction, and personal performance limits.
Negative emotional experiences disrupt the energy meridians that run through our body. The physical changes we feel from those disruptions, like nausea, anxiety, panic etc. become attached to the memory of that experience and affect the way we see the world. We need to heal that disruption. Properly applied EFT quickly realigns the energy meridians with respect to negative memories,. It disconnects the physical discomfort that we attach to it, and removes the resulting symptoms, mental, emotional and physical.
Basic EFT sequence. How to proceed: Focus on a problem like a physical pain or an emotion and tell your body to resolve it. Give yourself a value for the discomfort that you feel that seems to fits. Rate the discomfort from 1 to 10 with ten being the worst. Then tap with your finger tips on the spots shown above ten times for each spot. Follow the sequence A to H. Repeat two more times. It only takes 20 to 30 seconds for each sequence. After the third sequence then rate the discomfort again. If the rating is still above 3 then repeat in a little while. Often a new problem comes up, start again, this time with the new issue and rate it from 1 to 10 and do the sequence again three times.
